What is included in the Bundesmuseen Card?
The Bundesmuseen Card offers free entry during normal opening hours to all Austrian federal museums (Bundesmuseen) and the museums of the Austrian National Library. The Bundesmuseen Card also includes free entry to special exhibitions hosted by these museums.
If you wish to attend guided tours or special events, you will need to buy a separate ticket.

Is there a fast track? Do I need to queue or wait to visit museums and exhibitions if I have a Bundesmuseen Card?
The Bundesmuseen Card offers easy and quick entry to all participating museums. However, due to conservation requirements some museums may have to limit visitor numbers and ask you to wait before you can visit major special exhibitions.

The Bundesmuseen Card costs EUR 99.-
Are there concessions?
The Bundesmuseen Card costs EUR 99.- This is a highly discounted offer compared to the price of a normal ticket to visit the 25 participating collections and museums.
Do children and teenagers need a Bundesmuseen Card?
Visitors under 19 continue to enjoy free entry to all Austrian federal museums and the museums of the Austrian National Library.

The Bundesmuseen Card is only available online as a digital ticket. You will not receive a physical plastic card by mail. The first and last name cannot be corrected afterwards.

How will I receive my Bundesmuseen Card if I buy it online?
If you buy your Bundesmuseen Card online, it will be personalized right away. A Print@home pass will then be sent to your email address and also dropped in your wallet. This will take only a few minutes.
Validity
From when and how long is my Bundesmuseen Card valid?
The Bundesmuseen Card is valid for 365 days from the day of purchase. It can be used immediately. It is not possible to change the starting day; however, we are planning to introduce a voucher version in the near future.
How can I use the Bundesmuseen Card?
The Bundesmuseen Card offers free entry to all participating museums. Just show your digital or analogue Bundesmuseen Card together with a valid photo ID at the entrance. You do not need an additional ticket.
Can I give the Bundesmuseen Card as a gift?
You can buy a Bundesmuseen Card for someone else, ie in his or her name. It is valid from the day of purchase. At present, you cannot buy a voucher for a Bundesmuseen Card, but we hope to introduce them in the near future.
Transferability
Can my Bundesmuseen Card be used by someone else?
The Bundesmuseen Card is personalized, ie it bears the holder’s given name and surname, and is therefore not transferable.
I have an annual ticket or a Bundesmuseen Card alt (old version) and want to exchange it for a new Bundesmuseen Card. Can I do that?
You can buy a new Bundesmuseen Card online or at the ticket office of any of the participating museums. However, it is not possible to exchange or return an annual ticket or a Bundesmuseen Card alt (old version). The Bundesmuseen Card alt remains valid.
Can I cancel my online purchase?
As the Bundesmuseen Card is valid immediately, it cannot be cancelled (§ 18 (1) Z 10 FAGG).
How do I renew my Bundesmuseen Card?
The Bundesmuseen Card is valid for one year. Once it has expired, simply purchase a new Bundesmuseen Card online or at the ticket office of one of the participating museums.

What happens in case of loss or theft?
Neither online tickets nor physical cards that have been lost can be replaced. The issuance of a duplicate is not possible.
